  • In anticipation of a robust virtual FNCE® experience, AAPI, COGA, and RMIG invite you to join us for a deeply thought provoking event that will challenge our perceptions and impact our communication skills. The interactive presentation tackles nutrition communications and working to hone skills that allow for more effective communication across all demographics. Additionally, the presentation will cover how to develop personal awareness, leverage lived experiences to be a mor...e sympathetic nutrition communicator and support fellow nutrition professionals in honing these skills. As nutrition professionals, we need to understand how personal experiences impact our perceptions and actions and learn to become open to how other people may view food and nutrition. Nutrition professionals must develop the personal awareness and professional skills necessary to identify those who are food insecure while understanding how food insecurity shapes clients’ behaviors and health risks. Participants will leave with a practical understanding of how to work effectively within their nutrition professional community to facilitate an industry that can effectively serve and support diverse populations and adapt communication and nutrition recommendations. #aapi #asian #pacificislander #nutrition #dietetics #dietitian #rd #rdchat #rd2be #dieteticintern #workshop #diversity #inclusion #rdn
